About

I care about homes because I care about the people living in them.

I've spent more than eight years inside people's homes throughout the Portland area — busy homes with kids and pets underfoot, quiet homes, homes that are meticulously kept, and homes that have simply gotten away from someone for a while. Life happens. I've learned to meet a home exactly where it is.

I know inviting someone into your home is personal. Homes hold all the ordinary evidence of our lives, and I never expect yours to look a certain way before I walk through the door. My job is simply to notice what needs care, understand what matters to you, and help make the space easier to live in.

That perspective shapes everything I do, from the products I choose to the way I care for each home.

About Guinevere

I'm Guinevere, the owner of Cascadia Home Wellness.

My interest in creating healthy home environments began long before I started Cascadia Home Wellness.

Years ago, I started paying much closer attention to what I was bringing into my own home—the products I used and the spaces I spent my time in. Learning more about lower-tox living, herbalism, and creating calm, functional spaces, I began to notice how much a home quietly shapes the way we feel every day.

That perspective naturally found its way into my cleaning work.

"I've come to believe that caring for a home is, in many ways, caring for the people who live there."

Over time, I noticed how easily recurring visits could become a constant game of catch-up when certain areas hadn't been thoroughly cleaned in a long time. I wanted a system that allowed me to establish a strong foundation and maintain homes thoughtfully from there.

Today I work with a small number of clients because I enjoy building long-term relationships. I get to know each home, understand its rhythms, and care for it with the same attention, visit after visit—not simply clean it.

Outside of cleaning, you'll usually find me in the garden, making herbal tinctures or salves, out exploring somewhere in nature, or halfway through one of the many projects I always seem to have going around my own home.

I primarily use lower-tox, lower-fragrance products because I believe a clean home shouldn't come at the expense of the people or pets living in it. They perform beautifully, they're more comfortable to work around day after day, and they reflect the same philosophy that inspired this business in the first place.

How I work

What you can expect from me.

The details of pricing, scheduling, and what's included are on the Services page. Here are a few things you can expect when we work together. See the full Client Journey →

Priced by the visit

I price based on your home — its size, layout, and what it needs. You receive the agreed-upon service without either of us watching the clock.

Thoughtful product choices

Products chosen for both effectiveness and comfort. The goal is a home that looks clean and genuinely feels good to be in.

A calm, respectful presence

Having someone in your home is a matter of trust. You'll find me reliable, communicative, and easy to have around.

Thorough, not rushed

I don't work as a speed cleaner. I take the time to notice the details that are easy to miss — the dust along an edge, buildup around a fixture, grout that needs attention, or the area behind a toilet. That level of care is part of how I maintain a home over time.
